As we all know the quick to become famous Tallahassee, Florida band, Creed, has inspired and dominated alternative/rock music. Creed isnt just another young band trying to grasp success. Theyre not that at all. They have life, both in them and in their lyrics. Compared to everyone else...their lyrics actually make sense. Their cd, "My Own Prison" went platnium (500,000 sold copies) on the 27th week on the shelf and they are becoming popular in Canada, selling 25,000 copies since December.

"When you're having problems in your life, I think you have a tendency to blame people for everything, but a lot of people don't take responsibility-- especially when you're young-- for your own actions. I, just like every other young person, have had my problems, and I had a tendency to think of excuses and to blame everyone else for why things were bad in my life, and that was a point of me just reconciling with myself and saying that I've created my own situation; I'm where I am today because of decisions that I've made. The spiritual references in that song, with heaven and hell, were something that I deal with constantly, just because of my upbringing, and it comes out in my music.
